The Yorba Linda Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the revised Housing Element at the Planning Commission meeting on Wednesday, May 15, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers (4845 Casa Loma Avenue, Yorba Linda, CA 92886).

During the Traffic Commission meeting on April 25, the Traffic Commission reviewed the Traffic Analysis (TA) prepared for the Revised 2021-2029 Housing Element, which indicated that the proposed rezoning in the Housing Element will not cause traffic conditions to fall below acceptable service conditions.

The Planning Commission will now review the Traffic Commission’s recommendations related to the Traffic Analysis and consider the General Plan and zoning code amendments within the resident-driven Housing Element. The meeting materials can be found here.

In addition, the City will hold a third and final community meeting on May 23 to share information regarding the revised Housing Element and answer questions from the community. For details on the upcoming public meeting schedule, visit YLLocalControl.com/Workshops.

This sequence of events will culminate in Yorba Linda voters’ ultimate choice to ratify the updated Housing Element through a ballot measure in November. This step aligns with Measure B, Yorba Linda’s Right-to-Vote Amendment, which ensures that certain zoning changes are subject to voter approval.
